The art of walking
Hiking in the mountains could mean an effective learning to walk, and includes the correct technique reinforced by the experience. There are several techniques that can be used, but all have the same goal. Safe movement over difficult terrain with the least expenditure of energy to reach destination in good condition. Review some of the principles to consider.
Should focus its weight on the feet directly at any time (to the extent possible). Stand in foot flat on the floor to get the most unique contact with the ground as possible. Place foot on the upstream side of the tufts of grass stains and other level to avoid twisting the ankle and Achilles tendon strain (Something that should be avoided in my experience, Achilles tendon injuries are very painful and can take weeks to heal). You should rest between steps to straighten the knee after each step. Taking small steps at a slow pace. Try to avoid increasing the corners or fall, taking advantage of any crack in the floor.
When a group of time (number of steps per minute) must be set depending on the speed the group is moving. Since the physical differences which means that the rhythms of two people moving at the same speed is not the same, an interval of three to five air should be maintained between individuals. This allows each person to adjust the step changes in slope or soil, improving its tempo, rhythm and pace. Those file at the end of this range will benefit, as the accordion effect will be diminished.
The terrain, climate and affect the speed of light upstream. The adverse events most conditions, reducing the pace. Too fast, even under ideal conditions, the results of early fatigue, rest, requiring stops, resulting in loss of climbing time. You can only move as fast as his legs would allow. The key is at rest, good nutrition, proper conditioning and acclimatization, and will climb.
Breaks, although necessary, should be kept to a mimimum. When you take a break Beads must be released and the body ventilation (for layer dressing). At the end of a climb of the day, a good rest to revive tired muscles.
The resting phase, as described above, is used to climb steep, but not exactly elegant, this step is slow, regular, stop keeps the pace slow and rhythmic. It is much more effective than top speed, which are rapidly exhausting and requires more recovery.
There is much to be done on the mountain walking, and for this reason I intend to do a short series of articles. Note the second half with more techniques for different terrains.
