Bos Pagan
Pagan Poll: Do you print out entries for your BOS or do you prefer to handwrite?
I’m thinking about committing to handwriting all my entries. To me, it feels more personal and authentic. I’d like to hear opinions for both sides though, just for discussion. 
Also, here’s a curious question I’ve been pondering: Since your BoS is to remain personal…can you not pass it down? Hmm…
I usually start out by scribbling out my ideas, spells, rituals, etc. in a notebook. Once it is all organized and has been worked, and I decide that I want to keep it in my BOS, I hit the keyboard. It takes me forever to handwrite something out nicely, I start out neat and get kinda sloppy as I go. So while some pages are hand printed, mostly I tend to use some easy to read fonts and print out my pages for my BOS (which is made out of a three ring binder that a crafty friend of mine quilted a cover for and cross stitched a pentagram on a panel which she put on the front. I’m good with many crafts but not cross stitch and sewing!)
Obviously, ages ago, books had to be handwritten because people didn’t have the luxury of typewriters or word processing programs on computers.
Aside from some correspondences and things from other sources that I’ve studied – the spells, rituals and prayers in my BOS are those I’ve written, which is what makes them personal and authentic to me. IMO, they don’t work any differently being hand printed or printed on the computer. The thoughts, the creativity, the energy, etc. all came from me.
My BOS is willed to my nephew, who is also following the path of Wiccan and witch. He is a fine young man and we share information and ideas regularly along our paths, so I know he will be the one in my family who will most appreciate having my book when I am gone.
