Carved Flower
how can i carv things into timber and do a good job?
i would like to make a dining chair that has had things carved into it
stuff like flowers or animals or things like that
then i want to upholster it at home cause it would be to expensive to pay someone to do it when i can do nearly the same quality at home
so how can i do this with out screwing it up and what tools should i use

Yes you will need to read up on what you want to do, as for doing upholstery you need a lot of practice the same goes for carving wood, it don’t take much to lose a finger or two if your not safe. get yourself some books there are thousands of them, read and have fun, I know a guy who cuts down trees for home owners in storms damage, He takes the downed trees and he makes beautiful furniture, he made a Viking Chair from a Cherry tree and he used the trunk as a platform for a 1/2″ plate glass table top.
