Properly Installing A Screen Protector On The HTC Inspire

Once you’ve chosen the perfect HTC Inspire accessories, including an HTC Inspire screen protector, you can now start customizing your mobile device. Unlike cases, a screen protector is not always that easy to install. If you’ve invested in a high quality screen protector, you probably don’t want to mess it up. Installing the screen protector improperly will either leave you looking at air pockets and trapped dirt or force you to take the screen protector off and try again. If you remove the screen protector too many times, it will end up losing its adhesiveness.

Step 1 is always to make sure that the screen is completely clean. Many screen protectors come with a small cleaning cloth that you can use to clean the screen. If your screen protector did not come with a cleaning cloth, any felt or microfiber cloth will do. Before you install the protector, the screen needs to be completely dry and clean. Even though the screen looks clean it can still have some oils left by your fingers and this can cause the screen protector to peel off.

Also before you remove the protector from the film backing make sure to place it against your screen. You will want to see exactly how big the screen protector is in comparison to the screen of your HTC Inspire. Most screen protectors will not be a perfect fit. It makes it very easy if you already have some sort of idea of you will install the screen protector.

You may also check to see if there are any small flaps that can be used as handles. Many protectors have at least one small removable flap that can be used as a handle once the screen protector has been removed from the film. If you need help and there are no flaps, you can simply stick a piece of clear tape to the top of the protector.  Holding on to the tape, lift the protector up and position it on the screen. Don’t ever touch the adhesive side of the screen protector. This will leave smudges that will be impossible to remove. Once everything is in position, you can start to place the screen protector from the top edge. You then only need to slowly lay the rest of the guard down till you reach the bottom of the screen.

Once the screen protector is on the screen, you may remove the tape from the screen protector. Next, take a credit card and slowly try to smooth out any air bubbles under the screen protector. You should not lift up the screen guard to try and remove any air bubbles. If you’ve placed the protector carefully, the air bubbles should be able to be removed when buffing them out with a card. After you’ve gotten rid of any air bubbles, you can snap on your HTC Inspire case, charge your battery with your charger, and begin using the phone without worrying about damaging the screen.
